Shawdesh Desk: After a long time, members of new committee of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) and its leaders and activists chanted slogans demanding release of Khaleda Zia and also took position in front of Madhur Canteen of the Dhaka University campus on Sunday.

The leaders and activists of the Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) also took position on the DU campus. Under this circumstance, a tense situation was prevailing on the campus.

Leaders of the student wings of the BNP and Awami League chanted slogans in favour of their respective parties. JCD activists chanted slogans demanding release of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia from jail while BCL activists chanted slogans in the name of Awami League president Sheikh Hasina. But no untoward incidents were reported following their presence on the campus on the same day.
